Meet Allison

Hi, I’m Allison — Jewish educator, relationship guide, and founder of Kedusha Connections.
I help individuals, couples, and communities reconnect with the sacredness of their bodies, relationships, and rituals. My work blends ancient Jewish wisdom with modern relationship science, inviting people into a more grounded, joyful, and holy experience of love and connection.

My Story

I grew up in an interfaith, Reform Jewish home in Toronto and came to observance slowly and on my own terms. I studied political science at the University of Pennsylvania, where I began exploring Judaism more seriously — especially the rituals and wisdom traditions that felt rooted in community, embodiment, and meaning.

After college, I lived and learned across the globe — from Beijing and Kunming to Los Angeles, Atlanta, and now Baltimore — collecting stories, building community, and deepening my relationship with Jewish tradition.

When I met my husband, Sam (a Conservative rabbi), he was the one who insisted on keeping a kosher home. I'd never kept kosher before — but in wrestling with the mitzvot around food, I also discovered the mitzvot around sex. The Torah gives these laws side by side — and if I was willing to say yes to one, maybe I needed to look at the other, too.

That inquiry changed everything.

Through studying and practicing the laws of niddah, I found something more sacred, nourishing, and connective than I ever expected. I came to believe these practices, often dismissed as outdated or patriarchal, hold deep spiritual wisdom — especially when reclaimed through a modern, embodied, feminist lens.

Kedusha Connections was born out of that journey. It’s a space for people — especially women and couples — to explore what Jewish ritual can offer us today: not just rules, but practices for meaning, intimacy, and wholeness.

My Approach

I bring a warm, grounded, and deeply personal approach to this work. My training includes:

  • Mikveh Guide Certification (AJU + MACoM)

  • Sexuality Educator (ISEE, AASECT pathway)

  • Prepare/Enrich Facilitator

  • Gottman-Informed Relationship Coach

Through 1:1 coaching, couples work, group classes, and mikveh ritual guidance, I support people in creating lives and relationships infused with sacredness, intention, and joy. My work is inclusive, trauma-informed, and rooted in the belief that your body is holy ground — and your relationships deserve care and celebration.

A Few Things That Shape Me

  • I created an interfaith Shabbat group in college that met every Friday night.

  • I believe lighting candles, singing, and water rituals can all be forms of healing.

  • I love Torah — and I love asking her hard questions.

  • I’ve lived on three continents and still feel most at home wherever people are praying or laughing.

  • I’m still learning what it means to be a modern Rebbetzin — and I think that’s the point.
